Today was a full day in our MS Word class. Let me tell you all about it. It was awesome!
Today's Class Topics:
- SUMO Paint from the Internet. How to fix photos and or create your own graphics. Very cool.
- Zip Files-how to create and open a zip file.
- Inserting an outline from Word into a PowerPoint Presentation.
- Control "2"-Double Space.
- Control "A"-Select all-the whole document/text.
- Window "U"-Windows Utilities Manager.
- SUMO Paint from the "Cloud"-which "Cloud" is another word for Internet. Learned how to fix photos that were either underdeveloped or overdeveloped.
- Learned how to create a Zip File, which is so much easier than sending a few hundred photos separately, made a zip file and load those photos into that file and zip it up and send it on its way. Making a Zip File can clean up memory by compressing the files in the folder.
- Learned how to create a new background for PowerPoint from SUMO Paint and making a new PowerPoint Presentation with that background. Will be a photo at the end of post.
- Brightness and contrast only darkens and lightens a photo. If you need to remove "red eye" from a photo, you need to have a software to help you do that.
Learned about "Styles" on the Home Ribbon. Styles are used to enhance a document with different headings and can be inserted into a PowerPoint Presentation. I did try it the first time, but if you do not have your formatting just right, it will not work the way you want it. So, with my trial and error and, of course, help from the instructor, was able to accomplish this simple task.
